FACEBOOK’S IPHONE APP TO RECEIVE CHECK

Facebook has unveiled a new version for its application designed for iPhone. Due to it users are able to check in to events. Version 3.4 brings the opportunity to unfriend Facebook friends in-app as well as it includes a map view for Places.

The new features, refreshed user interface as well as subtle new feed improvements have been integrated into the Facebook iPhone experience.

With the new event check-in functionality the user of app is able to check in to upcoming or nearby events as well as tag their friends so they should choose.

The Places section has received the map view for Places. Users can toggle between “Map” and “Activity” options so as to view checkins available in the standard list view or they can switch in order to see them on a map.

The updates offer enhanced overall application experience that can push the user to check in to Facebook events. Moreover, it is possible to unfriend their social network buddies.

Mobile is considered to be a priority for the company. It was revealed by Facebook last week that about 250 million people are using Facebook through handsets on a monthly basis. The social networking site has unveiled a new mobile website that can be used by all owners of handsets so as to better accommodate those users.
