The Apple Store went down around Midnight EST, and is now back up with no mention of a white iPhone anywhere on the site. Even on the iPhone 4 order page. So does this mean that the White iPhone is no more? Probably. It looks like Apple is just scrapping it altogether so as to prepare for the iPhone 5. Are you sad? Happy? Don’t care? Apple has seen much success with just about every single one of their products they’ve pushed out over the years. One of their more popular creations is the iOS powered iPhone which has been around for several years and is currently on its fourth iteration appropriately dubbed the iPhone 4. This device, in particular, saw a bit of a rocky launch with user complaints over dropped calls when holding the phone a certain way but those complaints have largely settled.

Another problem the iPhone 4 has faced is the fact that despite being announced at the same time as the black version, the white iPhone 4 has yet to make its way to market. Apple has told us many times in the past that the white version would eventually be coming but we’ve yet to see it hit store shelves with continuous delays never being attributed to a solid problem. Well, as you’re sure to know, there have been rumors that Apple will come forth this summer to announce the fifth generation iPhone. Due to this, many have begun speculating that Apple has done away with the white iPhone 4 completely and will never release it to market.

Heat has been added to these rumors as after briefly taking down their online store, Apple has seemed to removed any instance of the white iPhone 4. Of course, this could be a coincidence or related to other circumstances but with all of the speculation regarding the cancellation of the white iPhone 4 it does seem to be quite believable.
